United States: Casino face shutdown
Ottawa Citizen (USA, 5 July 2006)
Casinos in Atlantic City, facing their first shutdown, could lose more than $16 million a day in gambling revenue if closed tomorrow due to a New Jersey state budget impasse.
The budget crisis would sideline the approximately 190 state inspectors required by law to monitor casino operations, shutting down all the gaming floors while leaving hotels, restaurants and bars open. | End |
